LEGISLATIVE FLY-IN - MARCH
This past weekend, Central Jersey YMG board member, Bilal Awan, EIT, had the privilege of joining the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) in Washington, D.C. for the 2025 legislative fly-in to advocate for the future of our nation’s infrastructure. Last year, he attended as a student, and now, after a year in the workforce, Bilal had new projects and experiences to bring up during these important discussions.
Several key topics were discussed during the event, such as the 2025 ASCE USA Infrastructure Report Card, resilient infrastructure, the need for consistent funding across various federal sources, and much more! Throughout the week, Bilal had the opportunity to meet with legislators, share insights, and stress the importance of bipartisan support for infrastructure investment.
He is excited for the road ahead and committed to being part of the change we need for a stronger, safer, and more resilient America. Thank you Bilal for doing a great job representing the Central Jersey YMG!
