CALENDAR
Do you want to be more involved in your local ASCE branch, but not sure how? Do you want to start networking, but not sure how?
Well, we have the thing for you! The ASCE Central Jersey Branch Younger Member Group will begin hosting general body meetings followed by coffee chats to facilitate both engagement and networking.
Meetings will take place the last Thursday of every other month from 6pm-7pm, and the general body meeting will last 15-30 minutes after which you will be randomly paired with another attendee – this is your opportunity to meet someone new or get to know someone better! Also, if it’s helpful, we’ll provide a topic and/or question to help facilitate the coffee chat.
Our first meeting will be Thursday, March 26, 2026 from 6pm-7pm, and we hope to see you there! If you're interested in joining (or just staying up to date on other events), feel free to download and add our "ASCE CJB YMG" Google calendar. This calendar will automatically populate with all upcoming events, details, and how to register:
2026
January
Thursday, January 22 at 6pm: Happy Hour #1
The Central Jersey YMG ran their first event of the new year at Winberie’s in Princeton! It was great to meet with multiple professionals and students and we thank everyone who attended! We’ll keep everyone up to date with our other events in the near future.
Thursday-Saturday, January 8-10th: ERYMC Conference
Last week, board members from the Central Jersey Branch and Younger Member Group attended the ASCE Multi Region Leadership Conference (MRLC) and Eastern Region Younger Member Council Conference (ERYMC) in Jacksonville, Florida!
This conference included interactive technical and social presentations as well as insightful information about ASCE’s societies and regions. Professionals and students had opportunities to collaborate and network throughout the conference and multiple social events around the city.
In attendance from Central Jersey was President-Elect Karam Choudhary, Vice President Louis Truppa, EIT and YMG President Bilal Awan, EIT. We also shared much of the weekend with board members from ASCE North Jersey Branch, ASCE North Jersey Branch YMG, ASCE South Jersey Branch, ASCE South Jersey Branch YMG and student chapter board members from NJIT and Rutgers University.
We want to thank all the branches and professionals who won ERYMC awards this year, and we are excited to see everyone in at next year’s MRLC in the fall!
